How to Gain Muscle Fast With the Right Workout Plan
Have you been following a guide for how to gain muscle fast with the right workouts? You may be training too hard or pushing yourself beyond what you should. Believe it or not, working out harder and longer may actually be slowing your progress or even leading to an injury. The trick is to train smarter, not harder. You don’t have to wimp out on your workouts, but you do need to do them in the most effective way – especially if you’re trying to manage your time efficiently.
The first rule is: never do more than 10 reps of anything. If you are able to do more than 10 reps, you’re triggering slow-twitch muscle fibers which are the ones that don’t help you build muscle. You’re trying to activate fast muscle fibers and as many as you can for each set. Choose your weights and exercises with this rule in mind.
Second rule: stop working out so much! This probably seems counterintuitive. But it’s not. The truth is, doing more work in less time – more sets, more reps, more weight – means you’re forcing your body to build muscle faster. Next time you go to the gym or do your home workouts, try to finish them in less time. Faster is better, even if it’s harder.
The third rule is to track your progress very, very closely. From day 1, know exactly how much weight you are lifting, how fast, and how frequently. Write it down. Keep a workout journal. Then, every two weeks, add a minimum of 5% strength increase. A little more weight lifted a little bit faster every two weeks will get you maximum results in the shortest amount of time.
Gaining muscle mass quickly and healthily isn’t that hard if you have the right plan and knowledge. To find out how you can gain 10 pounds of muscle in just two weeks without supplements of any kind, visit http://buildmuscleroastfat.blogspot.com

Workout Less and Build More Muscle Mass by Compounding Your Exercises
When it comes to increasing your overall muscle mass and tone up your body, it is important that your technique includes a lot of compound exercises, rather than exercises that restrict you and are isolated to a single joint movement. What this could mean is that many exercise machines found in many gyms may not be the best way to work out if you are just starting to develop your personal fitness plan.
Calisthenics are a common and effective way to get started. This can include a variety of exercises using your own body weight and repetitive motions that stimulate several muscle groups and include multiple joint movements. You can often find many pieces of furniture around the home can help you exercising utilising your own body weight. Just a word of warning, think it through first, to make sure things will not tip over and cause injury to the person exercising or anybody else in close proximity. Safety goes hand in hand with health. This approach encompasses a broad range of options, so you can surely find a technique that suits you and you will enjoy.
Sit ups, push ups and squats are included, they exercise multiple muscles at once. However, you do not have to limit yourself to these age old techniques if you find them boring. You can also try one of the large varieties of Dance, Pilates, Gymnastics or Martial Arts techniques, as well as a variety sports such as Squash, Tennis or Badminton.
Free weights can be very effective, more so than machines because you have to work to balance the weight yourself rather than letting a machine do the balancing for you. This technique is also less likely to cause an injury, it uses more natural movement patterns. If you prefer to do your workout in your home, free weights take a lot less space than fitness machines and there is so much you can do with just a barbell.
Use isolated exercises, like bicep curls, only in small increments at first. It is more important to increase your total muscle and strengthen you entire body before concentrating your time and effort on just one or two muscles. Remember that your muscle increases as you rest rather than during your workout, so do not forget to rest up in between.
Many fitness experts claim that following a strict diet plan can inhibit your muscle growth, so they recommend eating more often. However, there are lesser known secrets to tone and build your body quickly even if you do not want to eat as much as some trainers recommend.

How to Build More Muscle Mass by Changing Workout Routine
If you think back to your last few weeks or even months of workouts and the exercises you performed during your workout routines, do you find yourself perform the same exercises over and over, week after week? Our bodies are exceptionally adaptive to all physical conditions and stress, and it always tried to expend the least amount of energy to perform any physical action, and it will just build the minimum amount muscles needed to allow you to perform any particular exercise that you do week after week.
Force of habit is something rather difficult to break. It’s human nature to prefer to do things that we’ve done before, rather than venture out and try new things. Regardless of what kind of weekly split you use, you probably find yourself doing the same routine week after week – chest on monday, back on tuesday, legs on wednesday, arms on thursday, and so on.
So the next time you go to the gym, think about what you’re about to do, and think about the exercises you will perform. Try some of these exercises below to add variety, and break your normal routine to build more muscle mass.
Front Squats – How often do you see anyone do front squats? I bet rarely, and if you’re not doing them, then you’re missing out on one of the best exercises for quad development. The major difference between squats and front squats is that the barbell is resting on your front shoulders instead on your back.
Weighted Dips – Using your body weight to do dips may not be enough to stimulate muscle growth. Use a weight attachment belt and add some heavy weights to your regular dips. Start off adding 10 o 25% of your body weight – you should aim to add enough weight that allows you to only do four to six reps.
Power Cleans – Powerlifting exercises are some of the best exercises to build muscle mass and strength, yet you rarely see anyone do them in the gym. They offer strength and muscle building benefits that other exercises do not. Power cleans involves multiple muscle groups including the hips, quads, glutes, arms, back, shoulders, etc.
Dead Lifts – Dead lifts is another exercise that works wonders to build more muscle and strength. Add them to your routine, if you’re not already doing them. Instead of the regular lat pull downs or seated rows, dead lifts will work the rest of the your body along with your back.
Make a conscious effort to break your routine, and get outside of your comfort zone.

Our schedules in today’s society, are so hectic and unforgiving, that trying to include exercises into that schedule is almost an impossibility. And yet, so many people dream about looking like Charles Atlas and getting that washboard midriff and solid core that makes the opposite sex sit up and take notice, that there is a definite need for a shortened version of an abs and core muscle workout. The answer is the 15 minute abs workout: takes up little of your time each day, easy to do, and very effective in getting the look you want.
If you expect a 15 minute abs workout to do the trick and work for you, then you must know what muscles make up your midsection and how they work together. Working only one set of muscles is not a good idea because not only will your balance be off, but your muscles are designed to interact with one another, and if you ignore one group; you will not develop the range of power and motion that will be there with an accurately targeted workout. From the bottom up you have first the lower back muscles, the the internal and external obliques, and finally the abs—-referred to as upper and lower abs when you are referring to training.
A well developed set of core muscles is crucial if you want to up your performance on the playing field in sports, as well as develop much more efficiency in performing weight exercises, and then getting those admiring glances from passersby that you so desire. Yes, developing a tight 6 pack is definitely a plus, but you need to have the core strength beneath that 6 pack to keep your body balanced the way it is supposed to be to operate at maximum efficiency and provide the overall strength you need.
A good 15 minute abs workout to be effective in the fullest sense of the word, needs to work all the core muscle groups both individually and together as a grouped complex of muscles. The exercises themselves are very targeted so you can move from muscle group to muscle group working each as a separate entity, and then move on to the exercises that will work all the core muscles in tandem with each other. The workout usually contains 6 types of exercises each targeted for a different outcome, and they start with the lower abs, move to the core muscles, then to the upper abs and finally the lower back with your doing 2 sets for each exercise.
An effective 15 minute abs workout would include in its 6 types of exercises, the twist sequence with weights for the abs and obliques; bent leg reverse crunches for the lower abs; the 45degree side bend with weights for the lower back and obliques; those utilizing an exercise ball and doing crunches for the abs; leg lifts; and for the lower back—-hyper-extension.
You must remember that to have your 15 minute abs workout do what it is designed to do, that the number of repetitions is just as important as any other factor in the entire workout plan. Ideally, to get maximum results, you should be doing 20-25 reps for each set and you should be performing 2 sets for each exercise. And don’t forget that getting enough down time between sets is also crucial to having your body react positively to this workout——you should rest for 30-45 secs between sets so you don’t overtax your system. If you want positive results in the most compact amount of time, while preserving the integrity of the muscles and keeping yourself on a set routine; you should perform the entire repertoire 2-3 times/week allowing a day in between workouts so you can recuperate and build muscle the right way.
Having a solid set of core muscles with the added visual effect of a striking set of developed abs is something that many people dream about but don’t know just how to go about getting them without killing themselves in the process. Or they throw in the proverbial towel before they even get underway because they take on too much too soon. With a shortened 15 minute abs workout, you can get the results you want and fit the workouts into your busy schedule; that way, you will not only look better but you will physically feel better too, and that’s what it’s all about.

Many people have taken up the fitness regiment of Pilates either at their local gym, their local Pilates studio, or the comfort and privacy of their own homes. Pilates is centered around your core muscles which consist the abdominals and the surrounding muscles. These muscles have been a target of working out for centuries with simple sit-ups and crunches and any other variation of the two exercises. The ever wanted six-pack abs or washboard stomach is the reason working out your core is so popular. Since the release of the hit Hollywood movie “300″, a six-pack has become the must have fashion accessory on the beach or underneath your favorite shirt.
Most people don’t realize that core training by sit-ups and crunches alone does not normally give you the results that you desire. Those that work solely on their core or abs rarely see any kind of results at all. Many Washington D.C. personal trainers and other physical coaches know this little tidbit of information, but fail to mention it to their clients in order to keep them working on the unattainable, thus their clients keep coming to them for help and putting money in their pockets.
Why you can’t get a Flat Stomach with Crunches
Let’s forget about the six-pack for a moment because, as we mentioned, most people will never have one. It takes years of training, a perfect diet as well as (and this is the thing they never tell you) great genes. Why don’t we simply concentrate on getting that fat stomach flat?
The biggest waste of time when working out at the gym or at home, thinking you will lose the pounds and inches, is only core training. The midsection or abdominal region seems to collect fat quicker than any other part of the body, especially in men. This seems to be evident in the amount of men sporting the beer belly look and their determination in getting rid of that “spare tire”. They are so desperate to get rid of their ever growing abdomen that they work out only on those muscles without realizing that it is really doing nothing but making them work extra hard and seeing no results.
The truth about core training is that while they may indeed make your core muscles a little stronger, nobody will notice them. You see, everyone is born with abdominal muscles that you can’t see because they are covered by a layer of fat. So, if you want a flat stomach or you want to shoot for that elusive six-pack, you must take off the fat. Core training will not help you do that.
We are talking of course about targeted weight loss here, which is one of the biggest myths in the exercise industry. There is no such thing as targeted weight loss. There is no such thing as working out one specific area of the body and losing weight just from that area. The body doesn’t work like that. When you lose weight, you lose weight from everywhere.
Therefore, the best thing to do is a series of exercises that will help you burn calories and burn off the fat. Core training, as we said, is not an efficient use of your time because it doesn’t burn many calories and it won’t help you take off weight. Probably the best exercises that you can do are cardiovascular ones like swimming, running, bike riding, jumping rope, or simply walking, fast.
Core training can actually be quite dangerous, especially if you are tired. If not done correctly and with perfect form, core training can cause damage to your neck and spine and injury is even more likely when our form isn’t exactly right. Those suffering from back and/or neck problems should not participate in core training because of the risk of further injury.
Core training is a waste of your gym and working out time. To those people that are concentrating solely on core training, please stop and try picking up some cardio to burn that fat that you want to lose. It is about time you started seeing results from your workouts.
There are some things to keep in mind when using a heart rate monitor during a workout. It is much easier to buy one than using it properly from the start when exercising. One thing that should never be forgotten is that the heart rate monitor helps you maintain a level of exercise that your heart can keep up with.
You need to be able to calculate your maximum heart rate, also known as MRH, plus the heart rate you wish to work on. To achieve this, a certain formula has to be followed. To start with you need the difference between your age and 220. Once you have that number multiply it by the percentage that would serve as the lower in your exercise range. The next step is to again multiply the difference between your age and 220 with another percentage, this time at the higher end. For your training these two results will be your heart rate for training.
For example, this can be illustrated using a 25 year old person. The difference between 220 and 25 is 195. The number 195 is then multiplied by 65%, and the result would be would be 26.75, or rounded off to 127. If you multiply 195 again, but this time with 80%, then you would arrive at 156. This means that the desired heart rate during a training session must be anywhere from 127 to 156 beats each minute.
In regards to the percentages, not just any random number is chosen. These percentages used are based upon training boundaries. The first range of 50% – 60% is to maintain a healthy heart and is what can be considered good for daily exercises. The second range of 60% – 70% is for aerobics or for fat burning, and the 70% – 80% range is considered necessary for any endurance training. Finally, the 80 – 90% range, also known as the anaerobic threshold zone, is used to greatly improve cardiovascular fitness.
Once these heart rate ranges have been determined, then you can use your heart rate monitor. First the back of the transmitter should be dampened. This way it will snugly fit against the skin where contact is supposed to be made. Then it is adjusted, but without any deep breaths being taken. For women the ideal spot to place a heart rate monitor would be under the bra and under the breasts.
Now it is time to turn on your heart rate monitor. If you should find abnormal or hyper or dead reading after starting it try putting it in another position. Keep in mind also that the monitors tend to easily pick up other transmitters.
A heart rate monitor also requires that it be taken care of properly. Most of these devices are water resistant, but nonetheless they should be placed in dry places with enough room around them. They can be cleaned with warm water and soap and then dried of with a soft towel. No alcohol should be used and batteries need to be replaced every now and then.
Now you are on your way to achieve a heart friendly life and in your heart monitor you will find a welcome companion. With the correct calculations and care, plus knowledge and right tools, then you’re on your way.

Well, discovering how to get rid of arm fat can be very frustrating. I know because I used to be in the exact position that you are in right now.
But I have some excellent news for you. I am going to go through all those haystacks to find all those precious needles. No joke!
You may be wondering why I have decided to review so many exercises. Well, I simply don’t want other women to have to go through the same learning curve I went through. It’s unnecessary.
Now the main issue here is that learning how to get rid of arm fat with exercise can be like walking through a mine field because of all the misinformation out there. Some of this misinformation is downright dangerous. So without further delay, here is my analysis of barbell curls:
1. Snap-shot: This is a great exercise for your biceps because it works them through their entire range of motion. Few exercises do this.
2. Technique quick-start: Stand erect with hands at shoulder width and grasp a barbell with an underhand grip. Keep your abs tight for support. Lift the barbell up to slightly below shoulder width. Lower the barbell to the starting position. Repeat.
3. High frequency mistakes: Jerking the weight towards your body during the middle portion of the exercise. Allowing your weight to shift between the ball and heel of your foot. And flexing your wrists when bringing the barbell up.
4. Final word: Barbell curls come very close to being a perfect exercise for the biceps. If it weren’t for the strain they can put on the wrists and the difficulty in maintaining good form when going heavy, they would get the highest score possible.
Discovering how to get rid of arm fat doesn’t have to be an all out war. It’s much easier than you think. Your best ally is education because the more you know the faster you’ll get results. And look out for my next review of arm exercises for women!
