Everyone wants to quit smoking but only a few are determined to actually do something serious about it. The ability to cease your nicotine addiction is directly reflected in your laziness and ambitions. In order to stop smoking cigarettes you have to make a commitment; you have to put an end to your old way of life and start another, a tobacco free and healthy existence.
So how is it possible to quit smoking today? Most people that you might ask about this will definitely say that you are crazy and that something like this is not possible. Nevertheless, your never-ending attempts to cease the tobacco addiction aren’t going to lead to anything good. Trying doesn’t necessary mean succeeding.
Cigarettes are producing a lot of harm to your health. The negative effects of smoking are only noticed in the long run and this is why those people that are not informed about the real secondary effects of smoking tobacco are so ignorant when you try to explain why they should quit smoking. It is a pity that people continue to die because of smoking related diseases like cancer.
So while we focus on the first step that is absolutely necessary when trying to sculpt the proper attitude that is going to be the foundation in your quit smoking plan, it is also necessary to mention that for some people quitting smoking is a matter of days and even hours, if they get the main idea. In order to quit smoking you have to change your way of life by changing the way you think. You have to start living differently and you have to start promoting different values.
Quitting smoking is not that complicated if you know what you are doing. A good start is to wake up in the morning, throw all your cigarettes away, go and take a cold shower, look attentively into the mirror and say to yourself that from that moment on you are a free person and you no longer belong to cigarette addiction. Make that commitment once and for all. Think about your health and also consider your family. If you have kids, remember that they need a parent.
Smoking is horrible. It is one of those so called pleasures that actually kills without looking back, without making the difference between good and bad people. Cancer, as probably most of you people know, is the most wide spread manifestation of smoking related diseases. The famous Im sorry phrase that doctors tell you when they spot this infection in your body is the beginning of the end. You dont want that to happen. Well, for that not becoming a reality you have to work on your attitude. You have to take action.
People cant live without air, water and food but definitely can exist without tobacco! So why do people still smoke these days? Do they think this is so cool? Arent teenagers told about the secondary effects of smoking in schools, colleges and universities? Well, something odd is going on and we think its all about human ignorance and stupidity.
If you want to get rid of smoking you have to take action. If you want to be healthy you have to think about your health. If you want to succeed in life you have to work hard. Basically, you have to pay for everything you do. Miracles happen, but dont live with the illusion to run upon them at each corner. Be more realistic. If you are not going to quit smoking today you risk losing the potential to have kids. Dont let that happen. Think about your future. Quit smoking now!
High Blood Pressure is known to be dangerous. If you are running or exercising your Blood Pressure will rise, but once you have stopped the exercise and your body has had a chance to calm down then your Blood Pressure will go back down.
There is a thing called white coat syndrome that can cause our bp to go up and this can happen when we visit our doctor.
So one BP reading that shows it to be high does not result in Hypertension. But if you have had it checked regular over a period of time and it consists to be high then this is when the likely hood is that you are Hypertensive.
Before your Doctor prescribes any medication, you should be given the option to make some healthy changes to your lifestyle. There are things you can change in your lifestyle that could bring your BP down back to normal, which means there will be no need for medication.
But if I were to take note of what somebody recently wrote on a popular website, then I would not believe any of what I have written. Apparently if there is no reason to be found as to why your BP is consistently high then that would your Normal BP. As for medication they will not make the slightest bit of difference in bringing your BP down.
Well how about that, I should tell you that it was written by a Pharmacist who hates drug companies. But I do agree with one point that he does kind of make and that is that Doctors do tend to dish out drugs very readily, which is a bit suspicious when there is such a high profit in them.
I find it completely ridiculous that if you have High Blood Pressure then that is normal for you. I just that the people that read that article don’t take it as real, but if in doubt then discuss it with your Doctor.
Don’t let High Blood Pressure go untreated, because long term you could have kidney failure or have a stroke or heart attack. Talk to your Doctor about your options.

The good news is, there are simple daily techniques that can be used to reduce stress and bring balance to the system. The key is learning to trigger the opposite branch of the nervous system, to initiate the relaxation response. With regular practice these techniques can be used at any time to reduce stress and calm the system. We all have an amazing self-healing ability, which works most efficiently in the absence of stress.
Deeply relaxing the mind and body is a healthy habit to form, this can also be known as meditation. The recent research into relaxation/meditation shows that regular practice can cause positive changes to the brain and genes. The type of rest that we achieve using these practices is different to what we experience during sleep. There are various techniques that can be learned and practiced.
Breathing techniques can also be used to initiate the relaxation response. Breathing exercises have been included within the practices of Yoga, Tai Chi and Chi Gung for thousands of years. There has been a large amount of research confirming the many physiological benefits of focussed breathing techniques. It becomes possible to positively influence nervous system activity through the use of breathing techniques.
Acupuncture is proven to be an effective tool for stress relief. Some research indicates that acupressure can be even more effective than needling for some conditions including stress and generalized anxiety. Self-applied forms of acupressure can easily be learned and used to reduce stress. Tapping techniques are a form of acupressure and are easily mastered. Stress relief points on the face and body are tapped with fingertips. The process is quick and convenient and the results are felt straight away.
A large amount of stress can be caused by dwelling on the past or fearing future events. The perfect antidote to this form of stress is bringing yourself back into the present moment consistently. There are different ways to do this and in time, with practice, it becomes easier. Spending time in nature and using your senses is a simple technique which is highly effective. During a walk either in a park or in the countryside allow yourself to experience it using your senses, try seeing, touching, smelling and hearing all that you are experiencing.
Stress is likely to be a part of our lives and it’s hard to avoid it completely. The secret is to make time in our busy schedules to practice calming and relaxing our systems. As with anything we practice, these techniques get better the more we use them. Triggering the relaxation response becomes easier and more natural. More health benefits from reducing stress are being discovered all the time, so it’s a good idea to try harder at doing less.
