If you want to find one the most cosmopolitan cities in America, it has to be Boston. Living and working in this city is always nice. The city has all the modern facilities that you will find in a big metro. For the general public, the city offers excellent connectivity through roads, trains and airports.

I have spent my entire life in Boston. I studied in the community school in our neighborhood. Since my mother was teacher in that school, she decided that it would better if I were also enrolled in the same school. In that way, I would never be away from my mother and will be always be with her.

When my schooling was over, I wanted to pursue my further studies, hence decided to go to college. I was captivated with pipes and tubes since my childhood and therefore wanted to study plumbing. Fixing small plumbing problems in our kitchen was done by me occasionally.

Hence, I enrolled for a plumbing course in a training institute that was located ten miles away from my home. I used to daily take a train to my institute in the morning and after taking my class return back in the evening.

In the training institute, I first learnt about various kinds of tools and equipments that were used in plumbing. These included elbow, Street elbow, Tee, Cross, Cap, Plug, Nipple, Closet flange, Clean-outs, Trap primers, Combo-Tee, Sanitary Tee, Double Sanitary Tee Sanitary Cross, and Wye fitting.

Then I learned about various areas where plumbing techniques could be used. They were Potable cold and hot water supply, Traps, drains, and vents, Septic systems, Rainwater, surface, and subsurface water drainage, and Fuel gas piping.

The training was for one year time period and course was completed by me successfully. I started working as an apprentice in a local plumbing company and learnt all the skills of the trade along with a group of experienced plumbers. No training institute in the world can teach me what they taught me there.

I am skilled enough to work independently as an accomplished plumber after all these years of working and learning. Therefore, as quickly as possible, to the local residents of my neighborhood my newly opened plumbing company started offering plumbing services and solutions. Even though I have to work hard, working as plumber is what I enjoy the most.

There is a commonly-held belief that golf is the pastime and sport of entrepreneurs and businessmen. It also has the reputation of being exclusive and elite and not being available to ordinary blue collared workers. However, this is not really true, since modern technology and globalization have brought this so-called elite sport into the realm of normal people.

This is because you don’t need to pay for sophisticated equipment to join in. Unlike big game fishing or polo which need a lot of resources – a boat and a horse respectively – golfers just require a set of golf clubs, which are reasonably affordable these days. Bearing this in mind, retirement gifts for golfers and aspiring ones are more pretty thought of.

Personalized retirement gifts to personalize golfing equipment is quite simple. You could easily make personalized gifts by embroidering such items as golf club pouches or caddy covers. These can be knitted, if you are into knitting or by any similar craft which may require other materials.

Another good idea is to think about the apparel fashion of golfing which means to look at the clothing worn by golfers. You may even be able to establish a new fashion in golfing apparel by using your imagination to create an interesting design.

Common gifts. The most usual method of acquiring a retirement gift for golfers is to go to the closest sports shop and get your retiree something sold there. It may sound a bit impersonal to give the retiree a commercially made gift, but then this may actually prove very useful, if the retiree is still a beginner golfer – you might want to get him a set of golf clubs as it is the basic requirement to be able to play golf.

Moreover, you may find other accessories there that your retiree golfer still needs, but then perhaps you could also use your imagination and think about what you can make to enhance the golfing equipment he may already have.

Commercially made golfing equipment is also a good idea, if you want to make your retiree feel professional by giving him a famous set of clubs, making him look like a pro.

Gags and Jokes The fun part of choosing to give a gag gift instead is the humour such items can create. It also adds to the lighter side of the golf-playing retiree’s party and his friends will be able to join in with smiles, laughs and jokey comments too.

The joke present should be chosen quite carefully as the joke present may represent a sensitive matter for the retiree, especially if he is still a beginner. Joke gift for golfers may be misunderstood and discourage their golfing education if they are disturbed by the idea emphasized by the gag present you have given to them.

However, for more veteran golf players who are already acquainted with the way golfers think, the gift of a good gag present on their retirement day would be quite amusing because they would already know golf not only as a method of reducing their stress and getting some decent exercise but of actually just having some fun as well.

People ought to view retirement gifts for golfers as just a easy method of encouraging your golfer friend to appreciate the funny side of life after his career has ended.
