So you think that milk is good for your body? If yes then you really need to read this whole article. There are so many people who have the same believe as you, and I cannot blame anybody for this because dairy farmers are responsible for all these. They claim that milk will help strengthen your bones because of the presence of calcium in it. They also claim that milk will give you such energy boost that you will feel like a superman. Obviously, they want you to believe this way so that they can cash in on your gullibility. However, just as some other myths are doing the rounds of the weight loss industry, this is also a myth.

1. Believe it or not, the milk you purchase from your local store is not pure milk: it has been processed with the help of pasteurization, meaning that it has been boiled at a temperature of 160 centigrade and then cooled down. Milk is pasteurized in order to kill any and all the germs present in the raw milk. On the flip side, pasteurization not only kills the germs, but also the beneficial nutrients present in it. Enzymes such as lipase and phosphates can be a lot beneficial to your body, but you don’t benefit from those enzymes in the pasteurized milk that you purchase from your local shop.

That is not however the end of the story. Pasteurization also kills antibodies such as immunoglobulin that is present in raw milk. Immunoglobulin helps to immune your body against various diseases. As you can see, milk is in no way beneficial for you, at least not the one that comes in sealed packets.

After pasteurization is completed, the milk is homogenized to hold the cream at the bottom. Once this is completed, several synthetic vitamins are added to it in order to make it ‘nutritious’. However, remember that synthetic vitamins are not and can never be substitutes for natural vitamins. They are man-made chemicals and will cause more harm than benefit to your body.

2. Milk causes weight gain: Contrary to what you might think, instead of losing weight, milk will actually make you gain weight. If you are in the habit of drinking milk frequently, it is expected that you have become overweight. As you drink more and more milk, you will gain more and more weight.

3. Milk causes a host of other diseases: Besides weight gain, there are a lot of harmful side effects of drinking milk, such as skin allergies, cancer, acne, arthritis, constipation, etc.

Do you still want to drink milk? I hope not.

A scarless tummy tuck is a partial abdominoplasty. This procedure is done by a cosmetic surgeon and tummy tuck scars will be smaller and less visible. The incision thats made is much smaller than a full abdominoplasty incision. The kinds of candidates that are suited for a scarless tummy tuck are those who lost elasticity in their abdomen and cant improve it with diet and exercise. This is usually due to pregnancy or aging. Its recommended to have this procedure done if the area that needs improved is in the lower abdomen and the wall of your abdomen doesnt protrude a lot. The surgeon will remove the excess fat and skin and tightens up the muscles so you will have the firm look you want.

A scarless tummy tuck has a lower risk for complications because this type of operation is usually only a few hours long. If you smoke, you should try to stop approximately two weeks before your tummy tuck to make sure you heal well. Your surgeon will give you all the information you need so youre ready for the surgery.

A general anesthetic or local anesthetic in addition to a sedative will be used. The surgeon may also do liposuction along with the surgery.

After an incision is made above the pubis and the skin flap will be stretched. The skin flap is stitched back into place after the removal of fat and tightening of the skin. The belly button is let in place during the entire surgery. Only a small scar will show but it can easily be hidden.

A great benefit of a scarless tummy tuck is you dont have to stay in the hospital long. Some patients even go home the same day. Pain, tenderness, swelling and bruising are some of the symptoms you may have after this surgery. You can do some light activities after a couple of days if you feel up to it. It may take a whole month to completely recover. Your stitches will be taken out about 10 days after your tummy tuck. You need to be more active after the stitches are out to keep blood clots from forming and to help you recover quicker. Always follow your surgeons advice and keep all your appointments.

Your body is meant to be able to bend down low and pick up something on the floor, or reach something high up on a shelf. This is all down to the flexibility you have in your body to bend and flex.

Learning to stretch and increasing your flexibility will make these tasks alot simpler to do (if you were finding them hard to do in the first place) and you should definately give it a try.

Stretching? What Is It?

If you extend your body to full length or simply part of it, this is considered stretching. Straightening or stretching the structure of the limbs is also considered stretching.

Streching? How Should I Do It?

* Regardless of what age you are, stretching can be done by all.

* With age, your degrees of flexibility vary and also too with frequency of practice. Stretching more allows you to lose less flexibility as you ago.

* Stretching can be incorporated into your daily life and should be done every day. It doesn’t require much of your time anyway.

* You should stretch before taking on any vigorous exercises and is important to a training routine.

* A very common stretch athletes do is the sit and reach, where the sit on the floor with their legs extended out in front of them. They then reach for their toes with the fingertips.

* You should stretch for roughly 10 minutes before exercise. This is enough time to allow your muscles to flex in preperation for hard muscle movements you are planning to do.

Stretching? How Does It Benefit Me?

* Increases Movement – Your range of movements will increase as your muscle and tendons increase in length due to stretching. It can prevent injuries from occuring.

*Improve Your Skills – You can improve your basketball, football, tennis skills or become more active in life in general with a greater range of movement.

* Prevents Injury – When your muscles and joints are more flexible, it takes more for you to ‘pull a muscle’ or ‘tear a tendon’ as you have more give in your limbs. It also helps you recover faster and better if you do get injured.

* Reduce Muscle Tension – It is less likely for your muscles to contract and build up tension if you regularly stretch them out.

* Gives You Energy – Having the knowledge that you can accomplish more things physically will keep you active and energized as you’ll want to do those physical things.

Doing stretches doesn’t take much time for you to do. It can be merged into your day to day activities and after a while, it becomes second nature. The benefits of stretching keep your mind and body healthy and is good for overall fitness, so make it a part of your life today!

The wetsuit is the accessory that symbolizes today’s scuba diving, along with fins and a tank. They have come a long way since their earlier days of suit pioneers like the O’Neill brothers and their Santa Cruz surf suits to being made from a combination of neoprene rubber and synthetic fabrics. Wetsuits today contain a combination of a wide variety of fabric weaves, designs, colors, and different types of material densities. There are loads of brands to choose from, each offering their own unique properties on one of the most important parts of the scuba divers outfit, especially if diving in temperate or moderately deep waters is planned.

History of Wetsuits

Rubber skins were what the first wetsuits were made of. These were worn to keep in heat and protect the skin. They soon gave way to more advanced suits made of neoprene, whose cellular construction allowed air and water to be trapped allowing heating that was better than rubber. However, the early editions of neoprene had its downside. It became easy to tear and quite a struggle to put on. Often dressing required applying talcum powder to the inside of the suit. After several generations, breakthrough lines such as Sharkskin and Turtleskin brands added a layer of nylon sheeting to the inner suit and textured surface to increase strength and durability.

Combinations of Lycra or other synthetic materials are used in modern wetsuits to replace the nylon sheeting. Brands such as the Pinnacle Aquatic lines feature combinations of titanium weaves and natural merino wool which increases durability, warmth, and reduces odors. Layers of thicker material are also used in these modern suits to protect the sensitive neck and spine areas, and contain reinforced knee and elbow pads to protect the diver against chafing against rocks and coral heads.

How It Works

There is one basic principle of the wetsuit; water flows into small pores of the neoprene foam of the suit where it is trapped, it is then warmed up by the body heat and energy of the diver. This layer of warm water then acts as a thermal suit by keeping the cold water from getting to the skin. Wetsuits are actually designed to let water come into contact with the skin, unlike the dry suits which are sealed to keep water out. When temperatures range from 40 to 60 degrees, the average dive temperature, wetsuits are preferably used because there are hardly any intense temperatures for the body to be protected from. Dry suits are used for low exceedingly low temperatures to protect the body from potential freezing.

Different Types of Wet Suits

Besides the well-known full suit, there are many other different types of wetsuits. One particular wetsuit, “Shorty” suits, have full torsos but dont cover the entire arm and leg areas. These are good for warm water conditions because its main purpose is for maintaining body heat at great depths. Another suit, the “Farmer John” style, which has a thickened pants layer that goes up around the shoulder but does not cover the arms. This is a good type for surfing purposes where knee protection is important. Another addition to these suits is the now specialized “thin suits” for competitive swimming and light dive purposes. These suits do more than just temperature control as they offer streamlining and abrasion protection.

Wetsuit Hoods

Over 25% of body heat is lost through the head; this is why hoods are a very important accessory to a full wetsuit. The same materials that make up the wetsuit are often used to make the hoods, but the hoods are thicker to prevent loss of heat around the head. To protect against a gush of cold water down the beck most hoods have long bibs that tuck within the neck of the wet suit.

Wetsuit Booties

Even though some wetsuits commonly have built-in feet, most use separate booties. These booties are drawn up over the legs of the wetsuit. To facilitate standing or pushing off against the bottom of rough surfaces booties are usually reinforced and corrugated.

Gloves

Gloves are another important accessory and are not only meant to protect against cold water but they must also stop sharp coral and rocks from injuring the skin. In order to help in handling other gears and objects underwater, gloves often have textured fingertips.

Wrap Up

Since the early primitive rubber casings of the early 1950s, wetsuits have come a long way. With the rise in technology and new materials and special computer-aided designs, wetsuits will continue to improve and offer divers of the 21st century new options for their diving experience.

Do you want to lose weight, look great AND feel better? You can lose weight with less effort with a little boost from nature’s garden.

An oolong tea is grown in the Chinese Wu Yi Mountain range can help you lose weight and feel great with less effort. Camellia sinensis it the plant from which all tea is derived. Black tea, green tea and oolong tea are all picked from this plant and then treated differently to produce different characteristics. Oolong has a milder flavor than green tea.

Tea aids in weight loss for a few different reasons. For one, this ancient Chinese slimming secret increases metabolism and energy. It also helps block fat absorption and rids your body of excess water weight. Some of these actions are possible because of a strong antioxidant in tea called EGCG.

Does drinking tea work alone? No. There is no such thing as a magic bullet in the weight loss world no matter how bold the claims. Without proper diet and exercise, weight loss is impossible. However, that is not to say that you should not drink tea.

You can lose weight more quickly with Wu Yi tea because of the proven efforts of EGCG. Weight loss is more difficult without Wu Yi tea because your body’s fat burning capabilities are not as efficient without the tea. When you exercise, you will burn fat longer after you are finished if you drink oolong tea.

Antioxidants in tea are another great reason to drink tea because you will be improving your overall health. A large part of the Chinese culture, tea has been preventing aging and fighting disease for thousands of years in these often youthful looking people. You will begin to feel fantastic because of this added health benefit of tea.

The main action of antioxidants in tea is to fight free radicals. We are exposed to free radicals on a daily basis, and they are largely responsible for poor health such as cardiovascular disease, hormonal imbalances, premature aging and cancer. The free radicals damage the body at the cellular level.

The antioxidants contained in oolong tea are able to neutralize free radicals AND repair damaged cells in your body. This action will improve your health quickly and help you look better as well. Your skin and hair will be more radiant and beautiful when antioxidants improve their health at the cellular level.

Many beverages have oodles of calories and zero health benefits. When you drink oolong tea instead of other sugary beverages, you will probably cut at least 300 calories per day with little effort. Just this one little habit change and you will be looking and feeling better in no time.

Companies are scamming customers with bogus free trials that result in a fraudulent charge to your credit card due to an auto-shipment.

Losing weight is a matter of consuming fewer calories than you burn. Once a healthy diet is planned it’s time to get down to exercise. This means 30 minutes a day seven days a week of aerobic work.

Walking is a tolerable, low impact way to accomplish this goal and more importantly to stick with it for a long time. Here are some good walking tips.

Walking for 30 minutes a day every day of the week is a great start. In fact, it’s much better than the five day, or even three day, plan that many people recommend. 30 minutes of exercise 3-5 times a week just isn’t enough. The body needs work every day. That means seven days a week and if walking is the way to make that tolerable every day for the rest of your life, then walk.

Once the walking is established do some other activities to increase your physical output. This can include simple things like raking leaves instead of blowing them, silly things like playing tag with your children, as well as other every day habits such as parking in the furthest space from the store rather than the closest.

Intervals can be added once the walking has been established. Intervals are short bursts of increased activity sprinkled into a normal routine. Start out by running for 30 seconds every 10 minutes of the walk. Gradually up this to a one minute run every five minutes, which goes like this:

Start out by running for 30 seconds every 10 minutes of the walk. Gradually up this to a one minute run every five minutes, which goes like this. You walk for the first four minutes, then run for the fifth, then walk the next four minutes, run the next minute, and so on for the duration of 30 minutes. Keep in mind that a run is not a jog, it’s faster, like a sprint. So if you have to work up to run with jog at first.

Make walking a whole family activity. Walk the kids to school instead of driving them. Walk to the store. Get out and see the sights. And no, don’t stop walking just because of some rain. Wear a rain coat and some galoshes.
